Surrey Rec. Centre Operating Hours

Newton:

  • Engaged Communities Canada Society will be operating a cooling tent and distributing supplies in the Newton area until the evening at rotating sites near the Newton Recreation Centre (13730 72 Avenue, Surrey).

White Rock:

  • Recreation and Culture will be opening the White Rock Community Centre (15154 Russell Avenue) as a cooling station Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Outreach-Options Community Services:

  • Providing water, Gatorade, ice packs, sunscreen, hats, and harm reduction supplies free of charge to those in need.
  • Mobile outreach teams will support heat response measures in Surrey and White Rock between 8am-4pm on weekdays and from 11am-3pm this weekend.
